Job Summary

Work with our cross disciplinary team to automate the migrations of customer applications to our cutting-edge cross-cloud hosting infrastructure. In addition to migrations, you'll also work to implement the automation of ongoing monitoring of customer environments as well as internal applications and infrastructure, with the aim of creating a new standard for extremely high levels of reliability and resilience. Set an example for team of SREs with positive and inclusive leadership and discussion on work, while Showing ownership of a major part of the infrastructure.

Essential Functions

  • Run production infrastructure, ensuring sites and applications are available within established SLAs.
  • Improves documentation all around, explaining the why, not stopping with the what.
  • Influences ideas and solutions within the Infrastructure Department to reduce the workload through automation. Implement infrastructure as code and automation across all Corewell Health infrastructure.
  • Plan infrastructure growth for increased scale and new application(s). Actively looks for opportunities to improve the availability and performance of the system by applying the learnings from monitoring and observation.
  • Using a data driven approach, work closely with the development/engineering and architecture teams to identify improvements to our products reliability, performance, and availability.
  • Proactively safeguard infrastructure and deployed applications to stay ahead of security and compliance requirements.
  • Operate and maintain existing container platforms and CICD pipelines. Provides emergency response either by being on-call or by reacting to symptoms according to monitoring and escalation when needed.
  • Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in SRE, Dev Ops, Net Ops, or other related roles

Preferred

  • 5 years of relevant experience working with Net Ops, SRE, AWS, and/or Kubernetes
