Job Description Summary:

Our Human Resources Department has an opening for a temporary (estimated 4 months) Benefits Assistant who will provide support to the Director of People Operations and Benefits Managers with administrative and clerical aspects of planning, development, implementation and management of benefits and human resources policies, procedures and programs. The work schedule for this position will be 40 hours per week (non-exempt), Monday - Friday, from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.

Job Description:

  • Handles highly confidential and non-routine information.
  • Performs general administrative duties as required.
  • Works with team members to respond to requests for information as needed.
  • Drafts, proofreads, edits, and distributes routine correspondence and memos.  This can include items like firmwide newsletters or announcements. 
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with others regarding all projects.
  • Works as part of a team on special ongoing projects.
  • Assists with testing changes to functionality in Workday. 
  • Provides quality checks of benefits-related data within systems and in documentation. 
  • Assists with audits and processing benefit premium bills.
  • Assists with updates to Firm portal for both benefits and wellbeing items.
  • Coordinates logistics for seminars and programs. 
  • Assists with Open Enrollment testing and communications as necessary.
  • Assists in the administrative tasks related to leave of absence and worker’s compensation claim processing.
  • Assists with HSA, 401(k) and PPP funding process with each payroll.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must possess excellent organization skills and have the ability to multitask in a highly demanding, deadline driven environment;
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
  • High attention to detail and the ability to ensure quality and accuracy in composing and proofing materials;
  • Work effectively under direct supervision as an individual contributor and as a team member;
  • Be highly motivated and results oriented in organizing, planning and managing tasks and projects to completion;
  • Troubleshoot and develop recommendations for problem solving;
  • Demonstrate strong work ethic;
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with overtime as needed;
  • Position continually requires demonstrated poise and professionalism, tact and diplomacy and the ability to skillfully handle sensitive and confidential information and situations;
  • Experience with Workday is a plus. 

Reporting to the Benefits Manager, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of general office experience, and exposure or experience in the area of Benefits and Human Resources is preferred.

The anticipated range for this position is:

$53,000 - $69,500

Depending on the role, the actual base salary offered may depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

A discretionary bonus for eligible employees may also be available based on performance.  Additional information about employee eligibility for benefits and discretionary bonus will be made available upon request.
