How you will create an impact
The Assistant Vice President, IT Delivery and Application Management leads a team accountable for Application Delivery Maintenance and Support for a portfolio of IT applications in the Casualty Insurance domain including project management and the end to end support of the applications. In this role, you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and support of a number of IT applications, managing the ongoing changes, coordinating requirements and release schedules with operations and business teams, building business cases for technology investment, shaping and delivering IT projects and programs, and assessing the priority of IT activity in line with business needs. This role is also accountable for the day to day IT operations for multiple Casualty Applications and you will work closely with the Global Production Support and Infrastructure organizations to ensure that service is monitored and maintained within agreed tolerances, and that all business critical services are proactively patched and updated in line with Architectural and IT Security standards. You will have budgetary responsibility and ownership for IT spend and be a primary stakeholder for managing IT Risk and Compliance issues.
This is a senior level role that is expected to build and maintain relationships at all levels across the IT and business; it plays a pivotal role in ensuring that IT is seen as an effective partner and enabler by connecting the business to the relevant parts of the wider IT organization. You will have management responsibilities for teams of technology resources who will interact with key business leads on strategic programs. The successful incumbent must have strong leadership and influencing skills and be a strategic thinker.
What you'll need to succeed
For positions based in Jersey City, NJ, the base salary range is $98,000-$123,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
