Position Summary

Fiduciary Trust International is hiring an Investment Associate to join our office located at One Madison Avenue. The Investment Associate (IA) assists the equity strategy teams by tracking and compiling data related to investment strategies and individual securities. Responsibilities include producing detailed research meeting summaries, organizing and scheduling interactions with external analysts and company executives, and maintaining an ongoing flow of relevant information to support decision-making.

Core Responsibilities:

  • You will monitor stock recommendations using company news, earnings reports, and performance metrics.
  • You will coordinate research meetings and document key takeaways.
  • You will manage communications with analysts and company management.
  • You will contribute to ad hoc research projects.
  • You will maintain Investment Holdings Memos for positions not under direct analyst coverage.

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • You will collaborate with investment leadership to develop and refine investment ideas.
  • You will contribute insights during idea generation sessions.
  • You will synthesize research to support high-conviction investment theses.
  • You will conduct ongoing research to identify data-driven insights.
  • You will support internal and external investment communications.
  • You will provide updates to Investment leadership as needed.

Teams & Collaboration:

  • You will work closely with Strategy and Research teams.
  • You will collaborate with investment leadership and external analysts.
  • You will support cross-functional communication across investment-related departments.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role

Experience, Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related analytical field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in investment management, equity research, or financial services.
  • Direct exposure to fundamental analysis of public equities.
  • Progress toward or completion of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data compilation and analysis.
  • Skilled in Microsoft PowerPoint for presentation preparation.
  • Experience using Bloomberg, FactSet, and Aladdin financial data platforms.
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements and earnings reports.
  • Experience managing internal research documentation (e.g., investment holdings memos).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to summarize research and translate complex investment themes clearly.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive, self-starting mindset.
  • Independence and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to contribute to investment idea generation with senior strategy teams.

This role requires on-site presence three to four days per week.

Compensation: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary — designed to support their well-being and recognize their time, talents, and results. Along with base compensation, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, a 401(k) plan with a generous match, and recognition rewards. We expect the base salary for this position to range between $90k - $100k, depending on level of relevant experience, plus discretionary bonus.
