Seeking an Interoperability Solutions Engineer (Level 3). In this role you will Design, implement, configure and On-going Support of Interoperability Solutions between Varian OIS (Oncology Information System) & 3rd party Information Systems.

The Opportunity

Varian is seeking an Interoperability Solutions Engineer (Level 3). In this role you will Design, implement, configure and On-going Support of Interoperability Solutions between Varian OIS (Oncology Information System) & 3rd party Information Systems.

This opportunity is suitable for a candidate who has a minimum of 4 Years’ work experience with Interfaces & Interoperability Solutions in Multi-vendor Healthcare IT Environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a structured working methodology, and the ability to collaborate across functions of the company, our customers, and 3rd party contractors.

The Role/Attributes

  • Responsible for the successful Design, Implementation, Configuration & On-going Support of Interface Solutions between Varian OIS (Oncology Information System) & 3rd party Information Systems.
  • End-to-end Participation within Lifecycle of Inteoperability Solution Deployment:
    • Pre-sales Support.
    • New Installations & New Interfaces.
    • Upgrades of Existing Interfaces.
    • Helpdesk Service & Support (2nd Tier w/ Technical Escalation Path).
    • Product Feedback & Defect Reporting
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to ensure customer interface requirements are successfully accomplished as part of product implementation.
  • Responsible for producing Interface Specifications, Interface Implementation & Configuration, Data Analysis & Processing, Interface Testing & Support.
  • Provides assistance to customers and advises on service requests such as emergency and contractual services.
  • Responsible for writing interface specification documents, configuring, data manipulation, unit testing, and supporting of delivered interfaces.
  • Perform tasks assigned by Direct Manager as needed.

What Is Needed to Succeed

  • Minimum 4 Years’ work experience with Interfaces & Interoperability in Multi-vendor Healthcare IT Environments.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable with HL7 Standard. Preference given to candidates who have experience with the following Interface Engines: IEM, ESI, Cloverleaf, Health Connect, Mirth, Rhapsody, eGate, PACS Broker, etc.
  • Understanding of Relational Database Management Systems and SQL tools in conjunction with Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Planning, co-ordination and time management skills to reach solutions on schedule.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks & deliver under pressure.
  • Requires no day-to-day supervision, understands when and from whom to seek guidance when needed.
  • Willing to learn and grow with passion, energy, and drive that can bring creative ideas, critical thinking, and a strong appetite for project execution.
  • Graduate of University or Technical Institute in computer sciences, software engineering/information technology or related fields/equivalent education or relevant experience.

Other Requirements

  • Flexibility around working hours; depending on Customer Hospitals’ schedules, work may be scheduled for weekend and/or outside of regular business hours.
  • Acts as a loyal representative of Varian, showing confidence in the company and the company’s products.
  • Liaising with all Varian teams to foster an environment of co-operation and resolution.
  • Work-related Travel (as required) within & outside of APAC.
  • Availability to attend training over several weeks outside of APAC (as required).
