Who We Are
We are Fugro, the world’s leading Geo-data specialist, focused on mapping, modeling and monitoring data about the earth’s surface and the structures built upon it. With clients spanning land, sea, and space, our respected reputation is grounded in valuing our employees as our greatest asset, a steadfast commitment to delivery excellence, and an innovative approach that leverages cutting-edge technology to solve our clients' challenges.
This role forms part of our R&D team, part of our innovation department with a strong focus on automating complex spatial data analysis workflows and providing information to clients via intuitive web-based interfaces. Real world data (LIDAR point clouds, imagery, sonar scan and multi-beam) is captured remotely by vessels, autonomous underwater vehicles, aircrafts or helicopters. Data is uploaded to AWS and distilled to provide clients insights via the use of modern machine learning, scalable cloud computing, and 3D visualisation approaches.
