• Recruit, manage, and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists, providing guidance and support.
• Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities where data science can drive value and competitive advantage.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of data science projects, including ideation, model evaluation, delivery, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Set team priorities that align with the organization’s objectives and communicate them effectively.
• Able to develop feature engineering and machine learning models using SQL and Python, and build and maintain MLOps pipelines.
• Establish goals based on individual levels and roles that are aligned with the broader organization goals.
• Guide team members in applying statistical methods, data mining, and machine learning modeling techniques to solve complex business problems.
• Empower, challenge, and coach the team to enhance their impact and provide continuous feedback.
• Ensure scalable, reliable, and production-ready solutions are delivered in collaboration with the engineering, and infrastructure team.
• Stay current with emerging tools, technologies, and industry trends to continuously enhance MX’s data science capabilities.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of overall professional experience as a Sr. Data Scientist
• 3+ years of experience as a data science manager
• Strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
• Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, R, and strong proficiency with SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and modern data science toolkits. GCP experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
