The Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) team is responsible for leading the delivery of world-class data, analytics and technology capabilities to improve the financial well-being of our customers and communities.

There is a lot of opportunity in this space to really challenge the way we currently present value to customers and reward loyalty. We are shifting operations, with an ambitious agenda of new capability build, delivering better offers faster, and embedding customer loyalty at the same time

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and fine tune business objectives and requirements

  • Create project plans/solutions by gathering requirements and formulating technical specifications leveraging data analysis and existing technical capabilities

  • Serve as a thought leader for technical business processes to develop and implement systems/solutions that promote increased efficiency and productivity

  • Author and update documentation for internal and external stakeholders to standardise processes and mitigate operational risk

  • Contribute analytical insights to strategic customer-centred data and technology projects associated with Yello Partner Offers that enable us to transform the way we engage with customers across the Retail Bank. You’ll independently dive into data related challenges and problems.

  • Produce high quality and visually impactful insights and performance reporting on a variety of business needs including holistic 1:1 customer contact experience, marketing channel performance, Campaign Post Implementation Reviews and portfolio insights.

  • Strong SAS Programming skills is especially highly regarded.

  • Relevant experience in using data and analytics to drive business results, preferably in the Financial Services sector

  • Strong ability to design and develop a contact strategy, ideally with technical delivery experience

  • Prior experience with creating and executing customer journeys, marketing campaigns, or customer decisioning.

  • Proficiency with data exploration & analysis tools (primarily SQL)

  • Advanced problem solving, planning, analysis, project management and decision-making skills

  • Ability to navigate through complex systems and large data sets

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen

  • Prior experience with customer journeys, marketing campaigns, or customer decisioning.

  • Sound communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills for communicating strategy recommendations – particularly written

  • Self-motivated, proactive and diligent, capable of juggling multiple projects with a can-do attitude and working to tight deadlines

  • Experience with working in Agile, Scrum and/or Kanban environments

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (esp. Excel, PowerPoint)
