Group Summary:

1)    Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies. 
2)    Understand and promote Magna’s philosophies (Magna Operational Principles, Corporate Constitution and Employee’s Charter).
3)    Welds on all types of steel.
4)    Welding – Mig & Arc, cutting torch.
5)    Hand tools – grinders, drill press and hand drill.
6)    Assist in fabrication of simple tools, jigs and fixtures.
7)    Must be able to work from blueprints or sketches.
8)    Maintain good housekeeping practices.
9)    Responsible to support preventative maintenance for racks.
10)    Promotes good housekeeping (5S)
11)    Perform other duties as required.

•    Mechanically inclined
•    Proficient in Mig & Arc welding
•    Kamtek certified forklift operator
•    Technical procedures/blueprints.
•    Ability to work in co-operation with others.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Some of the physical demands of this position include the ability to lift 50 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods of time, and bending or stooping. Manufacturing environment.
