Supplier relationships and performance are critical to our success and we want to utilise these relationships in order to deliver increased value and ensure they contribute to delivering an excellent experience to our customers and colleagues.
As the Commercial and Supplier Performance Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring compliance and delivering resilience across our supply chain, maximising value through active framework and contract management, and setting the framework management strategy across Anglian Water.
You will be lead a team and be responsible for a portfolio of over 700 suppliers and an annual spend of over £500m, through a centrally-led approach. Lead the realisation of value through commercial dealings, increasing framework compliance and increasing the performance of our supply chain.
What will you be doing?
Ultimate accountability for the effective framework and contract management across a large portfolio of spend.
Ensure strict adherence to the requirements outlined in the Supplier and Framework Management Policy, guaranteeing compliance across all interactions.
Act as an escalation contact with our suppliers for contractual delivery, performance and compliance issues, overseeing the overall supplier relationships and serving as the point of escalation when necessary.
Cultivate and strengthen robust relationships with critical suppliers, promote a deep understanding of our business needs and foster continuous improvement in collaboration.
Enable the Supplier Experience strategy and embed this within the approach to maximising supplier relationship management – and align relevant strategies back to key Anglian Water goals and outcomes.
Oversee and evaluate the fulfilment of contractual obligations by core suppliers, and by appointed Supplier Relationship Managers, to ensure seamless operations and adherence to agreements.
Lead the development of continuous improvement initiatives and business efficiency cases relating to supplier relationship management, commercial management and risk management.
Formulate, implement, and manage strategies to address instances of non-compliance with contractual obligations, under-performance and supplier risks.
Regularly engage with senior business stakeholders and leaders on supply chain performance, demonstrating the value of the team and present opportunities for further improvement.
Create an environment of trust and openness.
Act as a role model for innovation, collaboration, change and curiosity across the business.
What does it take to be a Commercial and Supplier Performance Manager?
Expert understanding of commercial contracts with particular experience working with NEC contracts, service level agreements and KPIs.
Expert understanding of Framework and Supplier methodologies and processes.
Excellent commercial management skills.
Ability to develop and maintain healthy & effective relationships with suppliers.
Highly developed leadership negotiation, communication and influencing skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to negotiate & influence wide range of stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly & effectively.
