As a Customer Quality Engineer within the Global Quality Organization at Micron Technology, Inc., you serve as the internal voice of the customer for quality!

You will be the key customer facing contact to own your customers’ quality requirements so that Micron is able to deliver a world class customer quality experience. You will interact multi-functionally with sales, field application engineers and internal partners to maintain alignment on quality and reliability issues and foster strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Track and manage customer metrics. Responsible for overall quality management for Sold State Drives (SSD) including LRR/VLRR, DOA, Warranty, and Quality issue handling at customer sites.

  • Apply background in electrical and electronics engineering to ensure customer’s product quality and reliability.

  • Collaborate with customers and work closely with their SQE team.

  • Monitor and identify quality and reliability issues in order to foster customer relationships.

  • Assess customer’s needs and drive best technical standards internally.

  • Responsible for communicating customer issues to the internal engineering and manufacturing teams.

  • Responsible for preparing weekly quality data and attending the weekly quality review meeting with customers, as well as representing the company at business reviews (quarterly) as the primary quality representative of the company.  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A good functional knowledge of the various components of the SSD (Memory, FW, System, ASIC, DRAM, ASIC) to help correlate the failures in the customer ecosystem to the SSD.

  • Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication process and backend Assembly operations to ensure Quality gates are implemented and product of highest Quality is shipped to customer.

  • Excellent presentation skills to communicate Quality status both internally (executive management) and externally to customers

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$136,000.00 - $288,500.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
