We are looking for a Statutory Finance Specialist to join our North Europe controllership team. Role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved with statutory reporting, audits, tax and compliance withing Nordic countries. In this role, you will work as part of regional controllership team and report to the North Europe Region Statutory Leader.

Job Description
What you’ll do
- Support with the internal and external audit works for your Region to ensure on-time delivery of the statutory requirements
- Coordinate deliverables with the relevant owners & responsible parties to ensure documentation is provided to high quality and on time
- Liaise with external auditors to provide documentation, resolve queries and ensure timely closure of audit items.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and tax KPIs, supporting tracking and reporting on relevant metrics.
- Develop a basic understanding of key business and financial drivers, and report potential risks or control issues to the Region Controller as appropriate.
- Support STAT to GAAP adjustments in Statutory HFM and post related entries in SAP dual ledger (L1).
- Work on legal entity-level S2G (Stat to GAAP) adjustments, including analysis and efforts to minimize reconciling items.
- Oversee region transactional taxes (VAT) filings and assure local regulators’ compliance
- Support in statutory related initiatives in SAP or such as SAF-T

- Basic knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/Finnish or other Nordic accounting standards and legal requirements).
- Swedish or Norwegian language knowledge is considered to be a benefit
- AI literate
- Proficient use of MS Office, ability to learn quickly new IT tools
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptable/Flexible - being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations

- The position is hybrid-remote and based in Budapest, Hungary. Especially at the beginning your presence in the office is required.
