WHO WE ARE
Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is a rapidly growing emergency company with hospital locations across the United States. Our mission is helping people and their pets when they need it most. We are revolutionizing emergency medicine with a “customer first” mentality and a true, employee-centric work environment.
TALENT + CULTURE AT VEG
At VEG, we want people and their pets to feel safe, secure, and valued; we want our employees to feel the same way. What we’re aiming to achieve on the customer side is equivalent in nature to what we want for our employees: to have the best experience possible. With the highest NPS score in our industry, we’re ready to ensure that VEG remains the place where the best and brightest in the emergency world not only want to work, but stay and grow. For our customers and their pets, we strive to find a way to say, “yes.” We do the same and more for our teams. In fact, VEG is one of this year’s nominees for INC Magazine’s Best Places to Work!
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
The VEG Medical Quality mission is “Making it easy to deliver clinically excellent care the VEG way.” You will support that mission by collaborating with our medical leaders, medical educators, and frontline VEGgies, focusing on impactful medical quality solutions that are practical, frontline-focused, and enhance best practice medicine.
You will work 1-2 shifts per month in the hospital so you can stay connected to frontline needs and experience firsthand the impact of medical quality initiatives. Frontline VEGgies will see you as both an extension of VQ and as one of the team when you’re in the hospital. You will solicit and integrate feedback on how quality and patient safety improvements can make it easier for them to deliver clinically excellent care, particularly related to clinical resources and our electronic health record and treatment sheets. Frontline leaders and employees will look to you as an expert and partner for piloting and successfully implementing clinical and quality initiatives.
The world views VEG as a leader in veterinary emergency medical quality and knows our medical teams practice excellent medicine. As a quality leader you help frontline teams understand that quality is a journey, not a destination. You help them continually develop their skills and knowledge as they strive to do it better every day!
