ROLE OVERVIEW

Ensure compliance with all corporate, government laws and regulations relating to Environment, Health & Safety Management System . 

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, administer certification applications, permits renewals, track and report on certification status and progress.

• Coordinate with certification bodies to schedule audits.

• Ensure local SHE and facilities licenses as well as certifications remain valid with local authorities.

• Monitor industrial hygiene programs, conduct hazard analysis of hazardous substances and evaluate hazard control methods

• Compile and maintain necessary documentation, preparing for internal and external audits

• Conducts monthly SHE meetings, audits, and inspections together with EHS committee members to  ensure SHE maintained, compliance, evaluate performance, and risks are assessed, identify corrective action, and implement follow-up assessments to drive further improvement.

• Provides employees, contractors and visitors with guidance on health, safety and security matters and ensures the site is compliant with Corporate Safety Rules, industry, local, national guidelines and regulations.

• Drive EHS activities, ensuring compliance with Corporate EHS requirements, positive SHE culture through but not limited to: Gemba safety talks and training, and putting Safety first demonstrated by consistent management behaviors

• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and keep up-to-date with industry and regulatory trends and updates.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety Preferred.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant EH&S experience.

Knowledge and Skills

• Experience in process safety and hazard management.

• Industry experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or Petrochemical.

• SCDF as Fire Safety Manager

• Registered with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer is a plus

• Fluency in Chinese, both verbal and written is a plus
