Role Summary:  Responsible for managing regulatory certifications, audit coordination, IMS implementation, product testing compliance, and process quality assurance in PVC/CPVC pipe manufacturing. The role ensures statutory compliance, uninterrupted license validity, and effective implementation of QMS while supporting technical problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.

Roles and Responsibility:

1.BIS License & Regulatory Compliance

  • Manage end-to-end documentation for grant and renewal of licenses as per the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

  • Ensure timely submission of production data, test reports, calibration records, marking fee calculations, and portal updates.

  • Coordinate inspections, surveillance audits, retest approvals, and closure of non-conformities.

  • Track license validity, scope inclusion of new SKUs, and type test expiry.

2. NSF ,UPC-I& International Certification

  • Coordinate renewals, audit documentation, and payments related to NSF certification.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable ASTM and international standards.

  • Maintain formulation control, raw material approvals, and change management documentation.

3. Audit Management (Internal & External) : Coordinate and manage:

  • IMS Surveillance Audits

  • BIS & NSF Audits

  • Customer Audits

  • Internal QMS Audits

4. IMS & QMS Implementation

  • Support implementation and maintenance of IMS aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

  • Ensure effective document control and change management.

  • Monitor training effectiveness as per ISO 9001 Clause 7.2 (Competence).

  • Conduct internal audits and effectiveness reviews.

5. Product Testing & Compliance Monitoring

  • Possess working knowledge of product testing for PVC/CPVC pipes and fittings, including:

    • Hydrostatic Pressure Test

    • Vicat Softening Temperature

    • Impact Resistance Test

    • Stress Relief Test

    • Reversion Test

    • Dimensional & Ovality Checks

  • Awareness of applicable IS, ASTM, ISO, and EN standards.

  • Coordinate type testing with NABL-approved laboratories and maintain compliance matrix.

6. Plant Regulatory & PDI Oversight

  • Ensure production alignment with approved formulations and certified specifications.

  • Monitor raw material traceability and marking compliance.

  • Conduct and coordinate Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI), including dimensional verification, hydro test validation, visual inspection, and batch traceability.

7. Process Quality & Problem Solving

  • Troubleshoot extrusion-related issues such as thickness variation, ovality, brittleness, and hydro test failures.

  • Perform structured RCA using tools such as 5-Why and Fishbone analysis.

  • Implement CAPA and monitor effectiveness.

8. Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain structured documentation systems (SOPs, DCRs, work instructions).

  • Track regulatory payments and renewals.

  • Drive continuous improvement in compliance and process performance.

Requirement

  • Education Qualification: B.Sc. with PGD-PPT (or) Any

  • 3+ Years of Experience into Quality Management (PVC/CPVC Pipe & Fittings Industry Preferred)

  • Knowledge of PVC/CPVC extrusion and compounding processes.

  • Understanding of BIS and ASTM standards for pipes and fittings.

  • Familiarity with hydrostatic testing principles and laboratory practices.

  • Strong documentation and regulatory coordination skills.

  • Working knowledge of IMS & QMS systems.
