The role of the RFP Specialist is taking full ownership of RFP and DDQ requests and delivering compelling, accurate, tailored and well-presented submissions to sales, product and client management teams. Successfully collate and analyse information and data from across the firm and the RFP project management system and accurately communicate the relevant investment process and firm information for BSP and Alcentra to our prospective and existing investors.

As a member of the Global RFP Team, the role will support our North America, London, Asia and European based Sales and business development teams.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of RFP Specialist?

  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and ESG and ODD questionnaires from prospective and current clients across the global distribution platform in a timely manner and in compliance with BSP and Alcentra’s branding guidelines.

  • Work closely with global sales teams, product, investments and other internal teams to compile compelling documents that will advance the sales process to the next stage.

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal teams throughout the organisation.

  • Work with the project and content management system (e.g. Loopio, Qvidian, Responsive, etc) to draft responses and coordinate answers with subject matter experts. Also seek to ensure the RFP database is maintained and enhance content.

  • Acquire a deep understanding of the investment products and all applicable content and data resources.

  • Maintain accuracy of grammar, spelling, and punctuation and format text, pictures, graphics, etc. for aesthetics, quality, and adherence to RFP specifications.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Previous one to three years’ experience in RFP's as well as experience in private credit products and the asset management industry.

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and competently manage multiple deadlines efficiently.

  • Intellectual curiosity, desire to cultivate relationships, client focused, collaborative in nature and an ability to recognise and embrace change.

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, especially Word and Excel.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills and high sense of urgency

  • Drive to learn and develop knowledge base constantly!

  • Ability to work autonomously yet responsibly as part of a team.
