FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $26.44 - $31.25 per hour

About The Position

The Strategic Projects Coordinator provides essential support for cross-functional and interdepartmental projects by assisting with project coordination, administrative tasks, and operational support throughout project lifecycles. The Strategic Projects Coordinator works closely with the Strategic Projects Senior Manager to ensure smooth project execution, maintain project documentation, and facilitate communication across departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating cross-functional, interdepartmental projects under the guidance of the Strategic Projects Senior Manager
  • Support the development and maintenance of project plans, timelines, and task tracking systems
  • Help coordinate scheduling and logistics for project-related meetings and stakeholder communications
  • Maintain project documentation, including meeting notes, action item lists, and status updates
  • Assist with data entry and updates in project management tools such as Asana and Salesforce
  • Support the creation of project status reports and dashboard maintenance
  • Conduct research and gather information to support project planning and decision-making
  • Assist with basic risk identification and issue tracking as directed
  • Provide administrative support for project teams, including document preparation and distribution
  • Help facilitate communication between internal stakeholders across multiple departments
  • Support change management initiatives by assisting with communication efforts and documentation
  • Perform other project-related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 1-3 years of relevant experience in project support, coordination, or administrative roles
  • Interest in or experience with nonprofit, arts, or cultural organizations is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Basic familiarity with project management concepts and tools
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems, including Asana, Salesforce, and SharePoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving organizational environment
  • Demonstrated reliability and accountability in meeting deadlines
  • Project Management certification (such as CAPM) or interest in pursuing a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Previous experience in a collaborative, cross-functional work environment
  • Familiarity with change management principles
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders and teams

Physical Demands: In the work environment described, position requires utilizing a computer and a telephone for prolonged periods of time and good eye/hand coordination, bending and stretching, and physical stamina to lift and transport a minimum of 10 pounds. Visual acuity to review written materials is required for this job.

Work Environment: Work is performed full-time (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.) in a professional, climate-controlled office environment with standard office equipment, including computers, printers, and telephones. This role requires working in an open setting near colleagues. The noise level is typically low to moderate. The role also requires regular interaction with both the public and internal team members in a professional and courteous manner. Some travel will be required, including overnight trips on occasion. A flexible schedule may be necessary to accommodate business needs, including occasional evening and weekend work hours.
