The Private Equity Financing team is part of CBA’s Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) business. The team plays a key role in originating, structuring and executing loans to fund Private Equity transactions across both the Institutional Bank and the Business Bank (Major Client Group).
Do work those matters:
We have an opportunity at the Associate level that will see you work with a team of professionals to support origination and execution of deals whilst gaining exposure to Private Equity clients as well as internal stakeholders from across both the Institutional Bank and the Business Bank (Major Client Group).
Key tasks will include but not be limited to:
Undertaking complex financial modelling and writing credit submissions
Assisting in developing client-focused presentations (pitches, market updates and transaction data)
Input into annual reviews and portfolio monitoring of existing loans
Assist in reviewing term sheets and facility documentation
Post Deal Management of executed transactions
Assist with completing client profiles, strategy and portfolio updates
Identify and deliver continuous improvements across the team and stakeholders
Actively contribute to projects and initiatives across Private Equity team
We’re interested in hearing from people who:
Are committed candidates, seeking to build on a strong foundation developed in investment banking, a corporate or institutional bank or debt advisory firm. Further, you’ll bring;
Excellent tertiary results, ideally gained in business, law or engineering.
Well-developed research skills and ability to synthesise information quickly.
Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as an ability to present/speak to clients, banks and investors.
Ability to manage various internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent time management skills including ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines when required.
