Senior Manager will support PSaS’s Community Pharmacy & Health segment. This position will be expected to lead pricing activities for key CP&H pharmaceutical distribution deals. The Sr Manager will manage sell-side pricing strategies and pricing execution for new business development, renewals, and other strategic initiatives within the segment, working closely with key intersections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead pricing analysis & development of pricing strategy for CP&H Large and Strategic Customers.
  • Complete financial modeling based on current market conditions, forecasted growth trends, and predictions in costs, margins, and pricing strategy. This includes pressure testing multiple scenarios and tracking iterations of models.
  • Be fully immersed in the iterations of deal reviews and negotiation as a trusted partner to the sales and account management team including sales presentations, negotiations, term sheets and contracts.
  • Champion and lead standardization of new best practice processes, procedures, and templates related to product pricing and deal management.
  • Consolidate the output of models and analysis into clear summaries and clear recommendations for sales partners, customers, and executives – both written and oral.
  • Identify opportunities for business development and support special projects in CP&H segment.
  • Provide recurring and ad hoc customer analysis to support the CP&H segment.
  • Interface with Sr. Management and various executives on deal reviews and profitability analysis.
  • Participate in customer negotiations and customer business reviews periodically.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Sales teams, and other internal teams to work to increase transparency around and improve customer profitability.
  • Drive and support system and Business Intelligence initiatives. Act as subject matter expert to set business specifications and communicate requirements.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.

Education

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field or equivalent experience.

 

Critical Skills

  • 7+ years business experience strongly preferred in Financial Analysis, Pricing, and/or Sales Support, preferably in the pharmaceutical or drug wholesaling industries.
  • Data and/or Financial Reconciliation experience strongly needed.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience creating and manipulating financial models using large datasets.
  • Advanced MS Excel and experience using Excel and SQL for data collection, research, problem solving, and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Strong analytical thought process that allows for the formulation of a hypothesis, an understanding of the data required to analyze the hypothesis, ability to gather the data, and the ability to interpret the data.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communications with the ability to develop and maintain effective, positive internal/external working relationships with a diverse group of individuals.  Must have strong influencing and leadership skills.
  • Curiosity and a strategic mindset – this role will focus on learning our products, customer needs, dynamic markets, common vs. niche economic drivers, creating mutual solutions, and best practices among industry leaders.
  • Focused and intentional people management capabilities that will help build and shape the department and individuals within the team.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment; ability to prioritize.
  • Prior success in building effective business partnerships with the ability to influence decision makers.
  • Able to set priorities, meet deadlines and accomplish team objectives, and resolve issues appropriately independently, and in a timely manner.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with ability to challenge conventional approaches and offer alternative solutions.
  • Solid decision and resolution management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of pricing policies, practices, and systems.

Additional Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to navigate through complex issues, interpret and transform financial data into recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Strong communication skills especially in the area of verbal/written communication to senior management.
  • Knowledge of McKesson's operations, programs and selling strategies is highly preferred.
  • Business development in the pharmaceutical wholesaling industry is preferred.
  • Ability to think logically and analytically, problem-solve, build consensus, and lead initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence individuals and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced decision-making environment is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Strong diplomatic skills with an ability to consistently think on your feet.
  • Ability to perform and deliver quality results within a highly matrix environment.
  • Self-motivated, extremely organized, and capable of handling multiple initiatives.
  • Excellent data analysis skills with a thorough eye for detail.

Salary: 108,700.00 - 144,900.00 - 181,100.00 USD Annual (Target 145K with 20% MIP)

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$108,700 - $181,100
