POSITION: Warehouse/Bar Supervisor

DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage Operations

REPORTS TO: Food & Beverage Manager

FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt

Summary

ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Warehouse and Bar Supervisor on the Del Mar Fairgrounds & Racetrack, and The Sound Live Music Venue. Responsible for – Ensuring daily operations and supervision of warehouse staff, bartenders, and other related staff. The Warehouse and Bar supervisor also oversees the movement of product from the warehouse to the required food & beverage serving locations, and will assist with all of the issues pertaining to a patron's dining experience, such as quality control, staff management, inventory, health and safety regulations and customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • opening and closing events

  • training new staff

  • managing employees

  • overseeing inventory, including food and beverages, supplies and restaurant equipment

  • overseeing warehouse operations including the movement of product to the correct locations in a timely manner

  • resolving customer complaints regarding food quality and service

  • making sure the food & beverage areas complies with health and food safety regulations

Supervisory Responsibilities       

Familiar with OSHA, Health Dept., working knowledge of ABC laws, and Serv-Safe, L.E.A.D and/or T.I.P.S., Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) & POS System proficiency is very helpful.

Education and/or Experience        

High School or GED/Hospitality Experience or previous Supervisory position

Skills and Abilities

  • Communication, organizational skills a must  

  • Energetic and able to stand and walk for 8 hours

Computer Skills
General Microsoft Word/Excel

Compensation

This position's pay rate will range from $25.00 to $30.00.
