The role of Head of Acquisition is to deliver best in class acquisition performance in our Consumer business. This role is responsible for the strategy that drives commercial growth through sales acquisition across our products and services. Working closely with the Consumer leadership team the role is responsible for translating the growth strategy of the Consumer business into a roadmap of propositions and sales plans across all channels. Working closely with stakeholders across the business to balance the focus on Sales execution and longer term planning to drive the future success of the Consumer business.
Develop and execute the short term and long-term strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth for Virgin Media
Lead, manage, and mentor a high-performing team, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team objectives
Monitor and analyse sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed to improve results
Providing business insights to support key decision-making processes, including strategic planning, product development to support Key CVPs.
Analyse key market trends and competitor activities to recommend strategies that drive future business growth for the Virgin Media Business.
Work closely with the VMIE and Central product teams to ensure that product enablers are aligned and delivered to support CVP requirements.
Collaborating cross functionally to identify opportunities for improvements and revenue growth initiatives to drive mix, ARPU, Premiums, VAS and overall revenue.
Ownership of both the Acquisition TLD Budget & Online & Channel Opex budgets
Responsible for designing and delivery the annual roadmap of core and tactical propositions that enable a strong sales trading environment and improve innovation credentials whilst also achieving OCF targets.
Overall responsibility for the achievement of the Online, Contact Centre and Retail sales channels targets and delivery of best-in-class sales performance tracking, analysis and reporting to support effective planning, forecasting and delivery; with a specific focus on the evolving channel mix to ensure achievement of the required sales growth.
Manage channel partner relationships to ensure we are supporting and aligned with the right partners to deliver growth and the Virgin experience.
Continuously review and identify new channel and partnership opportunities to deliver both short term and targeted growth.
Support the Go to market process, ensuring all processes and customer journeys are designed and followed.
Become a voice of the customer regarding all proposition changes that are made, both longer term pricing and tactical offers.
10 + years of commercial experience including a minimum of 3 years senior management experience
Detailed knowledge Telco industry including the competitive landscape
Expert understanding of sales strategy, planning and execution
Skilled in using collaborative approaches to finding solutions and building partnerships
Commercially focused - A strong understanding of the importance of online sales drivers and their associated intricacies (Search, traffic, funnel etc.)
Track record of delivering step change in acquisition performance and P&L growth
Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic and results focused mindset
A strategic, forward thinking individual who enjoys a fast paced environment and can embrace change in an organization
A confident decision maker who is competent in coping with uncertainty and risk, advising and making recommendations on short timescales
