We’re looking for an experienced Manager Automation to spearhead the development, implementation, and optimization of cutting-edge control systems for our advanced bioprocessing equipment. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering, biotechnology, and process automation, ensuring our solutions meet the highest industry standard.

The position is based in the area of Mantova.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute automation strategy for lab-scale and industrial bioprocessing systems.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of automation engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, process engineering, and QA to integrate automation solutions.
• Design and program control systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA/OPC).
• Develop and validate control cabinets and integrate sensors, actuators, and control devices.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, ISA, and other industry standards.
• Manage automation projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and recommend technology upgrades.
• Provide global after-sales automation support, both remotely and on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in automation or software engineering, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Solid knowledge in Web Based Coding languages (Java Script, CSS, HTML,..)
• Proficiency in programming HMIs/SCADA systems.
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.
• Fluent in English & Italian

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with bioprocessing control systems for food & beverage equipment or pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, cGMP, ISA-88/95).
• Strong understanding of process controls, instrumentation, and system integration.
