GENERAL FUNCTION:

Senior leadership role responsible for supporting the execution of assigned business sales performance across the Bancorp.  Ensure successful execution of the sales and service processes, including aspects related to the Consultative Sales and Service process, Playbook Execution, Performance Management process, and Talent Development.

Key Partners include: Enterprise Learning, Human Resources, LOB Reporting, Finance, One Bank Business Partners, Sales Officers, Sales Managers, and Bancorp Leadership.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Delivery:

  • Support the assigned business’s Head of Sales to establish consistent execution of sales management and delivery.
  • Drive consistent execution of the Consultative Sales and Service process across the footprint.
  • Provide training and sales tools to appropriate business sales roles to support their achievement of goals, market share capture, and deepening of current customer relationships.
  • Serve as conduit between the field members and marketing, segment, and Product teams to ensure the appropriate level of resources and support.
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers and Product leadership on the delivery of local strategic plans while leveraging best practices.
  • Partner with the assigned business’s Executive Leadership and Sales Managers to define and establish the Sales job family, roles, goals, activities and expected outcomes.
  • Develop and establish the use of appropriate sales tools for use by Sales team members. Work across multiple functional areas to influence program and process improvements that increase sales and revenue results through improved coaching and sales tools.
  • Involvement in the establishment of key reporting metrics, Scorecards, process/protocols, and measurements for each role. Work collaboratively with Executive Leadership, Sales Managers, and sales roles at large to plan and execute customer prospecting, retention, and solution development campaigns.

Sales Effectiveness:

  • Work with the Head of Sales and leadership to effectively communicate the strategy, goals, roles and shared expected results of the Line of Business.
  • Execute the strategy and business plan of the Line of Business to increase market share, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and report key metrics that drive the business forward.
  • Involvement in the refinement of Incentive Compensation plan protocols and activities. Establish regular, transparent, and accessible sales effectiveness reporting for the LOB.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback. Develops employees to their fullest potential and provides challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth. Identifies and develops the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning. Recognizes and rewards employees for accomplishments.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, related field or equivalent work experience
  • 10 years of banking and sales management experience
  • Previous leadership role in Sales and/or Project Management is a plus
  • Experience with Data Analysis and Reporting preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to convert strategic vision into a tactical plan, and to execute on that plan
  • Strong presence and credibility with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and manage talent. Experience operating successfully in a complex, matrixed organization, driving change through influence
  • Strong sales performance, employing a holistic, partnership-oriented, solution-based model
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like.
  • Extended viewing of CRT screen.
  • Extended Travel including overnight.

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
