As the PMO Manager, candidate will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Project Management Office within Global Managed Shipping & Logistics organization. They will report directly to the General Manager, and assist the GM in providing oversight and management of projects, ensuring they align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives. The PMO Manager will work with global teams, providing guidance, support, and standard processes to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within scope, and within budget. The PMO Manager will also organize global team events and activities.

What you will accomplish:

  • PMO Leadership: Develop and implement PMO strategies, methodologies, and standards to ensure consistent and effective project management practices across the organization.
  • Project Governance: Establish project governance frameworks, including project charters, schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Monitor project performance and compliance with established processes and standards.
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the project portfolio to ensure alignment with business objectives, prioritization of projects, and optimal resource allocation.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with project delivery. Develop contingency plans to address potential project challenges and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Partner Engagement: Collaborate with key partners, including senior management, department heads, and partners, to understand project requirements, expectations, and deliverables.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (critical metrics) to evaluate project success and PMO effectiveness. Implement corrective actions as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance project management processes, tools, and methodologies. Stay abreast of industry trends and standard processes to ensure the PMO remains at the forefront of project management excellence.


What you will bring:

  • 8+ years of program/project management experience, including 3+ years leading a PMO or managing complex project portfolios in a global organization.
  • Strong expertise in project governance, portfolio management, and risk mitigation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and ability to apply them based on business needs.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior executives in a matrixed environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a data-driven approach to measuring project success and driving continuous improvement.
  • Experience with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar); familiarity with Workday is a plus.
  • Background in Shipping, Logistics, and/or Supply Chain a plus
  • Ability to travel 30%+ of the time
