Job Details:

Mercer University is searching for a Senior Programmer Analyst on the Macon, Georgia campus.


 

Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this position is to function as an integrator working with the data analysts and end users to produce a complete data system solution.  The incumbent will also provide Tier 3 level technical support for applications throughout the University. The support provided will include, but will not be limited to, contacting third party vendors for additional support.  This position requires logic and programming skills.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer programming, or a closely related field and five years of experience in general programming with .Net technologies of which one year must be working with SSIS and/or SSRS.  Experience should also include object oriented and relational database design and programming.  In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired will be considered.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Candidates must have a solid foundation and understanding of object oriented programming (OOP), .Net and C# programming, relational database design and programming.  Ability to produce computer based solutions from a requirements document with minimal direct supervision.  Able to produce logic flow charts, design documents and system documentation at a senior level. Demonstrated ability to produce applications work product from end user specifications and requirements with a minimal level of supervision; ability to work independently.
