As the Associate Director of Regional Marketing for the Americas, you will lead marketing initiatives focused on driving the growth and adoption of 10x Genomics’ advanced single-cell sequencing, spatial genomics, and multiomics technologies. You will manage a regional marketing team, collaborate closely with global marketing and sales, and ensure that regional strategies align with corporate goals while addressing local market needs. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate, experienced marketing professional with a background in life sciences and genomic technologies to take increased leadership responsibilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor the regional marketing team, guiding campaign execution, professional development, and best practices in marketing strategy.
- Own the development and implementation of the regional marketing plan, from landscape assessment to tactical planning, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and driving product adoption in prioritized market segments.
- Collaborate with global marketing teams to ensure regional relevance in corporate initiatives, product launches, and marketing content, adapting global strategies to meet local market dynamics.
- Build relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and influential research partners to strengthen 10x Genomics' market position and drive community-based peer-to-peer programs with customers.
- Oversee the calendar and budget for regional marketing programs, ensuring the effective execution of awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Build and maintain ongoing communications with Regional Commercial Leadership, Marketing leadership and Global teams.
- Partner with sales leadership to design account-based marketing strategies, support lead generation, and ensure marketing efforts align with sales pipeline goals.
- Ensure self and team stays updated on regional trends in genomics research, life sciences innovations, and market demands, ensuring that marketing efforts remain relevant and impactful
- Ensure self and team understands local market conditions, customer needs, and competitor activities to provide actionable insights to the global marketing and sales teams
- Act as a regional ambassador for 10x Genomics, ensuring that the company’s technologies are properly represented and positioned in front of target audiences
- Oversee the localization of global marketing content and assets, ensuring they resonate with the unique needs of the regional audience while maintaining brand consistency
- Measure and report on the performance of regional marketing efforts, using data-driven insights to optimize campaigns and improve return on marketing investment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM, business, marketing or relevant field.
- Minimum 8 years of total experience, with 2+ years of people management experience
- Prior experience in life sciences.
- MBA or other advanced degree with relevant experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence internal and external audiences, using both oral and written communication skills
- High level of organization and project management skills, multitasking and attention to detail
Below is the base pay range for this full time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.
