Pulse simplifies the capture of online customer behaviour, enables secure data sharing with partners, and supports standardized data processing. The platform consists of tools, libraries, and services that help teams onboard data, validate payloads, and access analytics data through persistent storage or live streams.  Our mission is to empower teams with reliable, scalable, and compliant telemetry infrastructure to drive business insights and innovation.

What you will do:

  • Write clean, efficient, and reliable code in one or more languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and C++.
  • Drive the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD deployments, automated testing, observability, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Build scripts to automate repetitive tasks and implement telemetry features independently.
  • Integrate AI agents and ML components using internal and external APIs, leveraging GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance development velocity and innovation.
  • Assist in converting high-level designs into detailed technical solutions, using mock screens, pseudo code, and functional logic.
  • Participate in design reviews, ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable software aligned with Walmart’s standards.
  • Engage stakeholders to define and refine complex business or user problems, translating them into actionable technical requirements and clear success metrics.
  • Conduct maintenance procedures, monitor application performance, and ensure adherence to project milestones using program reporting and CI/CD tools.
  • Promote a collaborative engineering mindset, contribute to innovation strategies, and support system uptime and customer experience.
  • Demonstrate technical ownership and judgment, balancing trade-offs and considering long-term impacts on system architecture and business goals.
  • Adapt quickly to change, embrace new technologies, and integrate feedback to improve outcomes.
  • Work effectively across teams, openly share knowledge, and communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and products, encouraging experimentation and continuous improvement.
  • Supervise and develop associates by hiring, training, mentoring, and promoting a culture of belonging and excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

  • Experience developing backend services using Spring Boot and related Java frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies, including Hive and Spark, for large-scale data processing and analytics.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Microsoft Azure, leveraging cloud-native services for data processing, storage, and analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with telemetry, data pipelines, or analytics platforms is a plus.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging GenAI tools for development.
  • Ability to translate business and user needs into actionable technical requirements and scalable solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, technical judgment, and a product-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present complex ideas clearly.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing.
