Position Highlights:

  • Position: RN Triage - Allergy - Days
  • Location: 2 Days Elmhurst - 172 Schiller, 2 Days Naperville 120 Spalding Dr.
  • Full Time 32 hours a week
  • Office Hours are: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM with one late night until 7:30 plus 1-2 Saturdays a month from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM
  • Required Travel to both offices

​​What you will need:

  • Current Illinois RN licensure
  • Current CPR for Healthcare Providers
  • Prior work experience in a Allergy setting, highly preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Self-starter, able to handle periods of high stress
  • Prolonged periods of standing/walking/sitting/bending/reaching/climbing and repetitive use of hands
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and carry/push up to 20 lbs.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, both written & verbal
  • Flexible to scheduling changes including overtime, evening and Saturday rotation
  • Ability to travel to the Elmhurst and Naperville clinic locations

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Supervisor, The Triage Nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for patient care needs through the use of inbound and outbound telephone practice.  The Triage Nurse continuously demonstrates positive customer relationship skills by assessing caller needs through active listening, clinical assessment, education and advanced problem-solving abilities.  The Triage Nurse will actively manage patient's immediate and ongoing needs with attention to acute and preventative intervention.  Duties include: phone triage, patient education and injections, injectable medication teaching, occasional rooming as needed, insurance pre-authorization and referrals, clean and stock exam rooms.
