Sr. Manager, IT Delivery – Shared Platform
This role reports directly to the Director, IT Delivery - Shared Platform and partners closely with executive leadership across IT Value Streams, particularly Ecommerce, Leadertools, and Commissions.
The Sr. Manager, IT Delivery – Shared Platform is responsible for leading and evolving the enterprise shared technology platforms that power our International digital, transactional, and commerce capabilities. This role provides leadership across EVO, DTX, and full-stack development teams, including Solution Architecture, and owns the end-to-end delivery lifecycle—from architecture and development through CI/CD pipelines, releases, and production stability.
This leader will operate in a hybrid environment that includes modern cloud-native platforms as well as legacy enterprise systems, requiring a strong understanding of how to support, stabilize, and modernize existing technologies while guiding the organization toward future-state architectures.
The role partners closely with QA, Incident Management, Product, and Business stakeholders to ensure reliable, scalable, and high-performing platforms while preparing the organization for future value streams, including eCommerce, LeaderTools, and Commissions. The position also drives innovation, including the responsible adoption of AI-enabled capabilities, while supporting international markets through platform transition and modernization.
Lead and manage Evo, DTX, and shared full-stack development teams, including Solution Architecture
Provide direct accountability for shared platform delivery, operational stability, and technical direction
Serve as a senior technical and delivery leader reporting directly to executive IT leadership
Own platform strategy and execution across both modern and legacy environments
Provide leadership and oversight for legacy enterprise systems, including applications developed in COBOL and related mainframe or midrange technologies
Ensure continuity, stability, and performance of legacy platforms while planning and executing modernization strategies
Guide teams in safely integrating legacy systems with modern cloud, microservices, and API-driven architectures
Balance risk management, technical debt reduction, and business continuity during platform transitions
Partner with QA and Incident Management to ensure disciplined release processes and rapid incident response
Establish standards for automation, monitoring, and operational excellence across all platforms
Provide leadership during production incidents, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning
Oversee solution and platform architecture for shared platforms, including legacy, hybrid, and cloud-native systems
Design and approve production architectures, migrations, upgrades, and platform transitions
Ensure systems meet enterprise standards for scalability, security, availability, and performance
Prepare teams for future value streams by evolving skills, tooling, and architectures toward eCommerce, LeaderTools, and Commissions
Drive adoption of AI, automation, and process improvements to improve delivery speed, reliability, and operational efficiency
Research and evaluate emerging technologies across application, data, and infrastructure layers
Improve platform stability and performance to support international markets until transitioned to the new shared platform
Lead, mentor, and develop engineering and architecture leaders and teams
Translate business and stakeholder needs into actionable technical and delivery plans
Communicate platform health, delivery progress, and risks to executive leadership
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational ownership
10+ years supporting enterprise-scale application and infrastructure environments
5+ years as a systems engineer, architect, technical lead, or engineering manager
5+ years leading DevOps, platform, or shared services engineering teams
Demonstrated experience supporting legacy enterprise systems, including COBOL-based platforms
Hands-on experience supporting mission-critical production environments with on-call responsibilities
Working knowledge of COBOL and legacy enterprise application architectures
Experience modernizing or integrating legacy systems with modern platforms
Strong understanding of software architecture across monolithic, hybrid, and microservices models
Cloud platform experience (OCI, AWS, and/or Azure required)
Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Microservices development and deployment (Spring Boot, NodeJS, ExpressJS)
Strong SQL, PL/SQL, and NoSQL experience with performance tuning
Frontend experience with ReactJS, AngularJS, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, Oracle APEX
Development experience using Ruby and/or Go
Strong executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to lead teams across diverse and mixed technology stacks
Proven ability to operate with minimal supervision and high accountability
Ability to balance delivery, stability, and transformation simultaneously
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (required)
United States citizenship required
Willingness to support occasional weekend maintenance windows
