Our Space division in Chatsworth, CA is eagerly looking for a skilled Electromechanical Assembler to join their team. This Electromechanical Assembler will be a key part of the Manufacturing Assembly and Test team, reporting to our Manufacturing Supervisor and enjoy an on-site, collaborative working environment on first shift.
As an Electromechanical Assembler, you will add incredible value to the team by holding responsibility for:
Reviewing build schedule with Assembly Supervisor and/or Assembly Department Lead.
Maintaining production schedules or priorities established by Production Control.
Maintaining process certification samples per company specifications.
Working from assembly drawings, manufacturing outlines, worksheets, parts lists and other instructions and consistently meets established time standards on work assignments.
Performs precision assembly on production actuators and biaxial assemblies. Adjusts or aligns through shimming, polishing and other means of mechanical adjustments specified by blueprint or other specification limits.
Performs cabling, harnessing, crimping, soldering to Moog and/or NASA specifications and follows proper ESD requirements as required.
Utilizes a variety of epoxies and compounds to perform required bonding and coating operations to satisfy drawing requirements.
Utilizes a variety of tools/equipment/mechanical measuring equipment such as: Dial indicators, height gauges, dial calipers, indicating micrometers Torque wrenches, arbor presses, vises, microscopes, hand tools, power supplies, strip chart recorders, motors drivers and necessary fixtures and tooling to obtain proper assembly build requirements.
Works with Project/Product/Quality Engineering to diagnose anomalies and recommends or performs rework to correct discrepancies. Brings to the supervisor's attention any condition that is abnormal.
Provide proper documentation of parts replaced and work performed on work instructions.
Disposition nonconforming parts in conformance with Moog and Government specifications.
Move subassemblies and final assemblies to stock after the final inspection.
Prepare MDR's and ADCN's as required.
Support engineering test functions as needed
To be considered for this Electromechanical Assembler role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
High school graduate or formal training equivalency
5+ years of assembly experience in a highly regulated/complex manufacturing environment
Ability to work directly from engineering drawings and written instructions
Skilled in the use of mechanical measuring tools/equipment
Strong knowledge around AS9100
Strong interpersonal skills
It would be great if you also had:
Direct industry experience in Aerospace/Defense environments (experience in Medical Devices also valued)
NASA Certifications
Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems

Salary Range Transparency:
Chatsworth, CA $30.00–$36.00 HourlySalary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
