Summary: As a Test Automation Engineer, you will utilize quality processes, automation tools, and methodologies to enhance testing products and solutions. Your typical day will involve running the end-to-end quality engineering function, focusing on automation to improve control, accuracy, and integrity in the testing process. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that the automation strategies align with the overall project goals and contribute to the continuous improvement of quality standards. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME. - Test Planning and Design: Develop and document comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and specifications. - Test Execution: Execute manual and automated tests to identify bugs, issues, and defects in software applications. - Bug Reporting: Accurately report, track, and document software defects using JIRA, ensuring clear and concise communication with the development team. - Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that changes and bug fixes do not negatively impact the functionality of the software. - Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, provide feedback, and ensure a high-quality user experience. - Documentation: Maintain detailed records of test results, test cases, and testing procedures to ensure traceability and reproducibility. - Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging trends, and new testing tools and methodologies to continuously improve testing processes. Professional & Technical Skills: - Strong knowledge of manual testing processes and a solid understanding of testing fundamentals, supported by valuable experience in manual testing of applications (both web and API). - Solid knowledge of testing tools, such as Web automation using Selenium, Robot Framework, API Testing using Postman, Rest Assured. - Knowledge of programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C# for automation scripting - The candidate should be familiar with CI/CD technologies for automation execution and possess working knowledge of Gitlab, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins -  Prior experience in web and mobile application security testing. - Strong understanding of various automation frameworks and tools. - ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications. - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and practices. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Automated Testing. - This position is based at our Pune office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
