Ashirvad by Aliaxis is seeking a dynamic legal professional with 3-6 years of in-house and/or law firm experience to join our growing legal team in Bengaluru. Prior exposure to the manufacturing sector legal operations or a tier one law firm would be an added advantage. The person would be reporting to the Head of Legal.

Key Responsibilities

1. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in compliance applicable to manufacturing units, competition laws, environmental laws, health and safety laws, and the Legal Metrology Act.
  • Regularly map and implement legal compliance frameworks and tools across manufacturing locations, including third-party manufacturers.
  • Identify compliance gaps, recommend corrective measures, and ensure timely closure.
  • Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations and proactively advise management on potential business impacts.

2. Contract Drafting & Management

  • Partner with procurement and business teams to draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts (LOIs, MOUs, NDAs, purchase/sales agreements, service contracts, consultancy and construction agreements, lease deeds, manpower contracts, etc.).
  • Ensure all contracts align with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Support the rollout and adoption of the contract management system and other legal technology tools across business units.

3. Land Due Diligence

  • Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence for prospective land transactions, assess risks, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for documentation and approvals.

4. Litigation

  • Commercial litigation including other civil & criminal litigation.

5. Legal Advisory

  • Provide day-to-day legal advice and support to business and functional teams on operational and strategic matters.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a reputed institution.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in a leading law firm or as an In-House Counsel.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
