Western Express Breakdown Coordinator

As a Breakdown Coordinator, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and providing a repair plan to our driver with a Driver Friendly attitude; following up on the repair. Coordinators are an integral part of Western Express Maintenance operations; you’ll be a direct representative of our company to our drivers.

Our team provide safe, reliable, and courteous communication and direction to our drivers, shops, and vendors. This position calls requires initiative, sound judgment, attention to detail and time management and customer service skills. For many of the people you will are assisting, you aren’t “just a name;” you are the first contact during an event for the company.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, reliable, and courteous communication and direction to our drivers, shops, and vendors
  • Work events in the TMT RoadCall program to add notes on issue/s, vendor, and repair plan to include DOT compliance
  • Answer phone calls and emails from drivers, vendors, Ops Team and Maintenance Team
  • Follow up with vendors for invoice to process in TMT system and upload to Synergize
  • Planning, communicating, and setting up preventative maintenance with driver and Ops Team

Job Qualifications

  • Must take and pass drug screening and undergo random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Have a proactive, helpful, can-do attitude with the flexibility to adjust to different schedules/hours.
  • Neat, organized, able to work independently and communicate our drivers.
  • Mechanical, computer and phone experience preferred.
  • Must have good customer service, problem solving and interpersonal skills

Due to the collaborative nature of the work environment, the spontaneous need for idea generation and execution, and the potential for expedited remediations, responses, or information gathering, in-person, in-office attendance is an essential function of this position
