Title IV E Project Director, under general supervision, coordinates the planning, development, and implementation of the Title IV-E Contract through the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. This position is a 12-month appointment to the Department of Social Work and directly reports to the Department Head. This full-time, in-office position is located on Tarleton’s main campus in Stephenville, Texas. Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate which may entail some evenings and weekends pending scheduled activities. Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).

Responsibilities

60% Coordination of Title IV-E

Coordination of the Title IV-E program. Includes:

  • Program Administration, Planning, and Evaluation.

  • Development and management of the contract with DFPS.

  • Liaison work between University and Title IV-E.

  • Oversight of budget.

  • Analyzes data and assists in the preparation and maintenance of special reports and other required documentation to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Participate in quarterly partnership meetings as scheduled.

  • Develop and document Title IV-E policies and procedures.

  • Track changes in DFPS policy, procedures, and contract information.

  • Collaborate with the Department Head in the development of project deliverables.

  • Training of Students, Foster Parents and Child Welfare Staff.

  • Recruit Title IV-E stipend students.

  • Teach one section of the Child Welfare Elective each semester as designated within the routine and normal responsibilities of a faculty member of the Department of Social Work.

  • Design and teach Child Welfare Practicum Seminar for Title IV E students ensuring compliance with CSWE and Child Welfare competencies.

  • Assume role of faculty field instructor for all students in the Child Welfare practicum class.

  • Work cooperatively with DFPS to assure that students comply with their employment obligations.

  • Maintain and update Title IV E student records

  • Recruit and train foster parents and child welfare staff.

  • Plan and implement the annual Title IV-E child welfare conference.

  • Collaborate with Program and Field Directors, and faculty in the planning and implementation of the training.

35% Department and Program Support

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Title IV E content on the department's web page.

  • Maintain program brochures with current Title IV E information.

  • Attend program and departmental meetings.

  • Maintain Title IV E program supplies and equipment.

  • Collaborate with Program Directors and faculty to plan and develop specialized programs such as open houses, orientation, and tours.

5% Other Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Master of Social Work from a CSWE accredited school.

  • Two years of post-MSW work experience in the field of social work.

  • Practice experience in a Child Welfare setting.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

  • Knowledge of online learning systems such as Canvas.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work cooperatively with others.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.

  • Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.
