As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will support the design, development and fabrication of space launch vehicles and components to support human spaceflight programs. This is a hands-on position that requires strong communication, organization, planning, and project management skills. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

This position is Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm

  • 30% Help Desk management – Occupy the Production Operations Control Center (POCC) which serves as the customer service hub for Blue Origin Manufacturing.  Update the POCC monitors with rotational presentations and timely general notifications.

  • 35%: Day to day support - Support current business systems including issue identification and resolution, functional performance monitoring and recovery strategies to meet business objectives.  Leverage both user feedback and business needs to drive improvement.

  • 30%: Shared Asset Prioritization – Manage shared asset reservations like forklifts, cranes, trucks, and transport carts.  Prioritize customer requests according to critical path schedule needs.

Technical / functional skills (includes computer skills):

Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Project. Has functional understanding of lean manufacturing, production KPIs, and how these are fed by enterprise business systems.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing and/or supply chain driven environment.
  • Strong background in data analysis
  • Skilled in data extraction, report writing, and aesthetic data presentation.
  • Proficient in the use of technology and automation to achieve overall business goals.
  • Results-driven and proactive in achieving future goals.
  • Possess a solid understanding of operating measurements of manufacturing areas of responsibility.
  • Proven track record of analyzing information and reporting gaps, presenting solutions, and implementing mitigation plans accordingly.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written /verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends and travel on occasion
  • Based upon job duties, may need to work in various areas that may cause exposure to fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals (well below OSHA and exposure guidelines), outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and/or be part of a hearing conservation program due to noise levels around certain equipment.
  • Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.
  • Ability to handle multiple decisions based on workload dispersion, program priorities and management and customer decisions
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc)
  • Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong math and analytical skills to solve problems
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
