Xylem has an immediate opportunity for a mechanically inclined truck driver based out of Indianapolis, IN. This position operates a 48’ or 53’ box trailer in a regional area. The driver will be required to interface with internal customers and other personnel support groups in a professional manner in their day-to-day activities.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Compliance with EWT corporate and customer policies, procedures, and safety policies.
  • Adherence to DOT, state, and federal laws/regulations.
  • Understanding of electronic DOT logging completed on company issued equipment.
  • Electronic data entry of tasks on orders utilizing the same designated device.
  • Operation of company vehicles and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills while interacting with customers.
  • Able to life without issue 50 lbs. and climb in & out of trailers routinely.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading cargo.

Driver Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Clean driving record and able to meet eligibility requirements to drive company vehicles.
  • Commitment to safety and save driving practices.
  • Maintaining a clean driving record
  • Motivated, willingness to learn the water industry.
  • Knowledge of weight distribution and limits

Additional Details

General Requirements:
Operates one or more types of company vehicles according to established safety procedures. Plans daily routing of collections and/or deliveries. Transports products to and from specified, local destinations within a designated time frame. May verify truck contents to ensure conformance with shipping documents. And verifies weight distribution and limits. Directly interfaces with internal customers and performs customer service and/or order entry duties. Identifies opportunities for other drivers or additional company products and services. May check vehicle fluids and gauges to ensure road worthiness. Loads and unloads cargo.

Salary range:

$46,600.00 - $74,600.00
