The Manager of eCommerce FP&A is responsible for leading a team of analysts focused on the financial performance of the eCommerce business.  This role is responsible for overseeing the forecasting and budgeting processes for the eCommerce business unit.  In addition, the Manager is responsible for partnering with eCommerce partners, and others across the organization, to evaluate and inform strategic decision-making efforts.

This position requires extensive experience in financial planning of business operations, the ability to develop financial recommendations supported by analysis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to quickly re-prioritize work based on evolving business needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Forecast:

  • Oversee the weekly eCommerce earnings forecast

  • Partner with business areas to capture earnings forecast trends, risks, and opportunities

  • Become an expert in the underlying details of the income statement

  • Identify and explain key drivers of P&L variances versus budget and last year

  • Effectively communicate the details of the earnings forecast to Business and C-Suite leadership

  • Analyze and proactively address forecast accuracy issues

Budget/Long-term Financial Modeling:

  • Oversee the annual Target and Budget processes for the eCommerce business

  • Partner with business areas to align performance expectations and financial needs to operate the business

  • Identify and explain key drivers of YoY financial variances in Budget vs prior years

  • Effectively communicate the details and expectations of the financial Budget to Leadership

  • Develop 5-yr financial projections of eCommerce business from trends and organizational initiatives/strategies

Business Support:

  • Become an expert in eCommerce business and financial drivers

  • Assist business partners in evaluating investment opportunities and executing post-mortem financial analysis

  • Proactively analyze the P&L to search for opportunities to improve earnings

  • Analyze business financial risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to Business leaders

Coaching and Developing:

  • Provide guidance to direct reports and strategically delegate work based on capacity and nature of work

  • Provide regular feedback to direct reports

  • Promote cross-functional training and professional development opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related business field

  • 7 - 10 years of experience with 3 – 5 years of experience in Financial Planning, Corporate Finance, or Investor Relations

  • Experience in retail, consumer products, apparel, or other customer-focused industries a plus

  • Self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced and fluid environment

  • Requires focus amid rapidly shifting priorities, attention to detail, independent problem solving and adherence to tight deadlines when required

  • Role may require mentorship and/or direct supervision of Financial Analysts or Rotational Program Associates
