Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Analyst to join our growing team in Miami-Dade, FL!

The Employee Benefit Analyst’s primary responsibility is to analyze information to create financial deliverables for current and prospective Brown & Brown clients, particularly for large group fully-insured clients as well as those with self-funded benefit programs.

How You Will Contribute: 

  • Responsible for the financial analytics for clients that are over 100 lives, as well as those that are self-funded

  • Prepare analyses in accordance with client service calendar financial meetings. Analyses may include but are not limited to:

    • Market review analysis

    • Renewal rate and funding projections and modeling

    • Analysis of claims utilization

    • Rate and contribution analysis

    • Benchmarking

    • Financial funding analysis (e.g. fully insured vs self-funded)

    • Technical analysis of group insurance contracts and financial arrangements

  • Act as a resource for Benefit Producers and Account Executives to develop strategic plans and solutions for clients and prospects

  • Collaborate with the service team to ensure strategic objectives are clearly articulated and proactive solutions are implemented

  • Have occasional client face to face meetings as well as conduct open enrollment meetings

  • Develop and maintain excellent carrier relationships

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Florida Life & Health insurance license

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

  • High School degree

  • 2 or more years of employee benefits experience in a similar role

  • Clear knowledge of Group Benefit Plans

  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite. Proficient in Word

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree (preferred)

  • Clear knowledge of CEBS (preferred)
