Job Description

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible to provide operational leadership to individual contributors to ensure the execution of daily task activities, including customer order management, monitoring purchasing process of finish goods from suppliers, and on time delivery to our customers. Other responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, overseeing staff members performance to ensure that they are meeting productivity goals, and coordinating with other departments to ensure that products are shipped on time and within budget.

The supply chain supervisor is also responsible for maintaining good customer relationships, developing a team of Supply Chain Planner/Buyers, and hiring and training staff.  Identifies opportunities to update or improve Customer Service procedures, lead, guide, and mentor the Supply Chain Team to effectively handle the inquiries, requests and needs of our customers within Bose Standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues 
  • Evaluate and report on KPIs 
  • Monitor logistics for finish goods to ensure on time delivery based on inventory target 
  • Act as a escalation contact for customers and for Supply Chain Team
  • Train, guide, and develop employees
  • Problem solving on day-to-day operations
  • Review parts requirements and delivery schedules
  • Monitor Engineering Changes and EOL programs to avoid obsolescence
  • Identify gaps on demand/supply to proactively fix errors/issues
  • Collaborate with Logistics teams to optimize transportation and distribution processes, when required
  • Yearly performance review for the Supply Chain Team


Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of Customer Account management (Automotive preferred)
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes
  • Working experience of Automotive Industry preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Creative problem-solving
  • Negotiation skills
  • A strategic and analytical mind
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc)
  • SAP and Kinaxis Rapid Response experience and knowledge is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.

Required Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Supply Chain Supervisor or in a similar field
  • Experience in warehouse/ 3PL operation
  • Experience to work on a fast-paced environment while maintaining an individual workload.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize needs of the operation based on customer needs
