Arch Insurance Group, Inc., seeks Business Systems Analyst IV, in Raleigh, NC

Job Duties: Collaborate with the Digital Product Managers (DPM), Agile Program Managers (APM), business partners and users to capture the right business requirements and accurately translate them to specifications that aid design, coding and testing of moderate/ complex software and/or data warehouse applications within the organization. Engage with the DPM, APM, business and technology partners to support the conversion of their ideas into development user stories. Work with software engineers to ensure that the engineering realization is in accordance with the business specification. Work with the testers to ensure that all software components are tested adequately and participate in Quality Assurance testing as the IT workload requires. Provide guidance to stakeholders on devising effective and efficient approaches to achieve project and program goals. Manage requirements risks by proactively tracking and communicating issues and devising methods to mitigating them. Liaise with other project and program areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues. Analyze, map, and communicate current state and future state business processes. Support business units in the resolution of in-depth user questions and issues. Maintain a working knowledge of new technology and business analysis standards & practices. Collaborate with IT administration to define and develop documentation & business analysis artifact standards, guidelines, processes, and templates.               

Qualifications: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or related position.

  • Must have 4 years of experience with:

    • Agile Methodology: Agile practices, including participation in daily standups, sprint planning, requirement gathering, backlog grooming, and writing and/or refining user stories in collaboration with business stakeholders using JIRA.

    • Large-Scale Data Transformation: Enterprise data migration and transformation activities, including system modernization, database reengineering, and cross-functional coordination.

    • Presentation: Presenting technical findings to business and executive audiences.

  • Must have 3 years of experience with:

    • Data analytics, business intelligence, or systems analysis within the Insurance or financial services.

    • ETL & Data Integration: ETL tools such as SSIS or Talend to support large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.

    • Statutory and Regulatory Reporting: Supporting year-end reporting requirements, including Yellow Book and/or statutory reporting.

    • Leadership & Team Management: Managing or mentoring team members, driving project deliverables, and coordinating across multiple teams or departments.

  • Must have 2 years of experience with Data analysis and generating actionable insights, including experience building dashboards and reports using Power BI, Cognos or Tableau.

Or in the alternate, will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or related position.

  • Must have 4 years of experience with:

Hybrid role model position, working 2 days in office and 3 days from within normal commuting distance of the office location.

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$126,818 to $135,000 per year

  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
