In this role, you will:

  • Develop and oversee day-to-day management of data governance policies and processes needed to strongly govern all investment data. 
  • Manage investment data ownership and reviews data usage requests to ensure adherence to investment data governance policies.
  • Influence the engagement of investment data consumers as needed to successfully promote the adherence of investment data governance policies.
  • Execute systematic and manual efforts to increase and/or maintain the highest standard of data quality.
  • Maintain strong collaborative relationships and alignment with relevant strategic partners across the enterprise (primarily the Enterprise Data Governance Program & Privacy group, and the Enterprise Risk Management group) for data. Work with these enterprise teams to adopt best practices around data management and manage the application of those rigors to data.
  • Implement cost-effective solutions to data capture. Work with IT to ensure that data can easily be stored, retrieved, and leveraged for various organizational uses.
  • Develop and maintain data quality and data governance operational metrics and continually monitor metrics to identify potential issues.
  • Maintain an understanding of industry trends in data governance and provide updates to the team to build business acumen. Maintain an understanding of the intersection of technology solutions and data governance.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.


What it takes:

  • Undergraduate degree, or an equivalent combination of training and experience required. 
  • Minimum five years general experience with progressively responsible work experience including successfully managing project(s) from beginning to end strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the data governance discipline, data quality, data management, or data architecture.
  • Experience with technical systems such as: AWS Cloud, Collibra, Highlander, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and maintains a professional presence. Proven ability to effectively communicate with external providers, internal business clients, and crew members at all levels.
  • Excellent judgment and ability to analyze issues quickly and independently to take appropriate action with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent, demonstrated problem identification, analysis, and resolution skills.
  • Flexibility, strong decision making skills, and effective time management skills.
  • Strong knowledge and skills using current versions of the Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Detail oriented with a high level of energy. Proven self-starter with ability to work independently and within teams.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels in the organization. Ability to lead initiatives to desired conclusion.
