The Gogo Business Aviation Network Operations Manager will be responsible for sustaining and ensuring network systems are fully operationalized and performing at optimal levels. With an emphasis on inflight connectivity, your focus will be on prioritizing activities, establishing readiness, and achieving operational excellence! You will lead a technically diverse team of network engineers maintaining highly available infrastructure powering Gogo’s products and services!

How will you make a difference?

  • Responsible for ensuring network services are operating optimally

  • Collaborate across departments leads, help to define product and service requirements, and support development initiatives

  • Establish, maintain, and further enhance performance metrics

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer, organize training, provide resources, enable, mentor, and inspire operational team members

  • Ensure highly available services by organizing testing activities and exercising systems

  • Participate in change management while adhering to our client SLAs

  • Manage a team of 5+ globally diverse network engineers

  • Participate in annual budget processes

  • Drive operational excellence in everything we do; includes creating processes, automation for improved efficiency, and enhancing existing solutions where applicable

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years’ experience managing highly available services and systems – preferably in a collaborative service provider setting

  • 3+ years proven success leading a technical team

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Required Skills, Experience and Talents

  • Experience managing technical team members and multi-vendor IP networks

  • Has worked on Agile-managed projects

  • Skilled with ITIL service management best practices

  • Solid understanding of network protocols, cellular technologies, and related material

Preferred Skills, Experience and Talents

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision across many projects simultaneously

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Enjoy being part of a broadly focused technical team

Equal Pay Disclosure(s)

Base Pay:

112,000.00 - 140,000.00 USD Annual

Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:

Bonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
