Summary:
Manages the daily patient services function of the Food Service department.Responsibilities:
Determines and justifies needs for systems, monitors supply purchases and usage and oversees equipment management and maintenance.Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling and payroll.Manages and assists with all food safety and sanitation regulations assuring compliance.Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.Assesses the quality of patient meal services and develops relationships with other departments. Handles patient complaints, grievances, special requests and elevates issues when necessary.Competencies:

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
