Job Description Summary:

As Senior Program Manager, NextGen Academy, you play a pivotal role in implementing and maintaining our global NextGen Academy initiative. This position requires a dynamic leader with a passion for education, technology, and employee development. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing programs that effectively onboard Academy participants, foster long-term employee relationships, manage key stakeholders and external partnerships, and help deliver a pipeline of highly skilled professionals. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure a seamless onboarding and learning experience for NextGen Academy participants. You will need to be comfortable facilitating training sessions and being an ambassador of our company values of Empathy, Humanity, Trust, and Love. In this role, you should be passionate about helping Rocketeers learn and grow. Ultimately, you will help Rocket succeed by fostering success in our NextGen program, providing opportunities for every Rocketeer to develop, and continuing to build a culture of high performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of comprehensive training programs covering various aspects of software development, including programming languages, best practices, AI and emerging technologies.

  • Contribute to executing the strategic vision for the academy aligned with the company's goals, ensuring that training programs evolve with industry trends and advancements.

  • Implement mechanisms to assess and improve the quality of training programs, ensuring they meet industry standards and effectively prepare participants for real-world challenges.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as the People Team, Engineering, and Leadership teams to understand skill gaps, align training programs with business needs, and support the overall talent development strategy.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create relevant and engaging training content.

  • Facilitate mentorship initiatives, connecting academy participants with experienced professionals to enhance their learning experience and career development.

  • Establish and manage feedback loops to assess the effectiveness of training initiatives, gather input from participants, and continuously iterate and improve the Academy programs and enhance their impact.

  • Efficiently allocate resources to ensure the smooth operation of the academy.

  • Foster relationships with external industry experts, academic institutions, and other relevant organizations to attract candidates, stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate external perspectives into the academy's offerings.

  • Represent Rocket Software at events and activities related to NextGen Academy.

  • Collaborate with the People Team and Marketing teams to promote the academy both internally and externally, attracting top talent and maintaining a positive reputation in the industry.

  • Act as a role model and support the professional development of the participants of NextGen Academy

  • Manage the operations and delivery of multiple Academy sites globally, simultaneously preparing to scale and launch new Academies

  • Create repeatable, scalable processes and experiences to standardize implementation where possible across global sites

  • Contribute to other People Team-led Rocket talent development and engagement programs as needed

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience and successful track record in onboarding, technical training, talent development, or a related role

  • Strong knowledge of effective training methodologies, learning management systems, and performance management

  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills

  • Experience creating compelling content / slides for both instruction and promoting NextGen Academy success

  • Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships across departments

  • Experience with budgets and program management

  • Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors

  • Sharp business acumen

  • Proactive approach, comfortable working autonomously

  • Experience with cohort-based learning and early career development programs.

  • Collaborative spirit and ability to work across cultures and time zones.

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to program execution.

  • Growth mindset, flexibility, and adaptability in a global, fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with Workday, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams a plus, but not required

  • Bring a positive attitude, sense of humor and perseverance

  • Ability and interest in travel to our Rocket Software offices around the world, as required.

    The base salary range for this role is €36,000.00 - €61,200.00 /year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

    Salary offer for the candidate is determined based on the predefined salary ranges for the position and depends on the level of competence and experience of the candidate.
