We are searching for the best talent for a Production Systems Specialist to be in Geel.

The Geel site is the largest Synthetic Drug Substance manufacturing site within J&J Innovative Medicines. Our team of 700+ employees ensures our life savings medicines reach the patient, safely, with high quality, on time and competitively. As the Launch site for Synthetic Drug Substances, we manufacture both the clinical as commercial product portfolio and are closely connected with both our R&D partners as our Drug Product sites across the world.

This position requires excellent Project Management skills and will be accountable to deliver ground-breaking process improvements with confirmed business value. To achieve this, you
partner with multiple experts from other functions, including Execution Systems, Digital Operations and Technical Services (DOTS), IT, Manufacturing Science and Technology, Business Excellence, ...

 

Qualifications

Experience and Skills

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, IT, data science or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry in process chemistry /chemical operations preferred
  • Knowledge of process safety, GMP compliance, data integrity, data stacking, cyber security
  • Deep understanding of plant automation systems like Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), real time data management systems (OSI-PI), shift management tools
  • Experience in project management and leading agile sprints preferred
  • Strong interest in developing and implementing new state of the art data tools which support accelerated data analysis and enhanced process understanding and control
  • Passionate to work in a team and able to motivate people to join the digital transformation journey
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, fluent in English both verbal and in writing.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure plant data and systems are reliable and support current and future predictive plant requirements in close collaboration with automation and IT supporting departments
  • Lead a cross functional team across the different shifts and plants, challenge the status quo and improve knowledge and skills on data and systems in operations
  • Drive digital adoption across shifts and plants and measure success – Act as a change agent
  • Analyse TIER 1 notifications to drive system improvements through the applicable change control processes
  • Support Audit Trail review and alarm management
  • Stay on top of innovative technology trends and translate user requirements into digital solutions that can be used in our multi-purpose chemical plants.
  • Subject matter expert on PAT tools to support a 24/7 shift regime and propose process improvements based on digital data.
