At Island Trees Veterinary Hospital offers an experienced veterinary team that is dedicated to providing exceptional care for our beloved patients. We are currently looking for a Veterinary Assistant who is a passionate pet lover and wants to make a difference in the lives of our patients. If you are devoted to offering this type of care, we look forwarding to hearing from you.   

Qualifications 

• Experience as a veterinary assistant. 

• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures. 

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 

• Client communication and education

​Responsibilities 

• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and patient care. 

• Safely handle and restrain animals; husbandry, cleaning, laundry, providing patient care as directed by the veterinarian.  

• Handling lab samples and preparing for currier pick up.

• Medical charting, maintaining accurate patient records. 

• Cross train as a client service representative.

• Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.

Pay range $16.50 to $20.00 based on experience
