Job Summary:**

The Revenue Accounting Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recognition of revenue, maintaining revenue-related financial records, and supporting month-end close activities.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Process and review sales contracts and customer agreements to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies.
* Prepare and post revenue-related journal entries, including deferred revenue, unbilled revenue, and revenue adjustments.
* Reconcile revenue accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
* Collaborate with sales, legal, and operations teams to gather necessary documentation and resolve revenue recognition complexities.
* Participate in the month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring all revenue-related activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
* Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reports, providing detailed analysis of revenue trends and variances.
* Support audit requests by providing documentation and explanations related to revenue transactions.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of revenue accounting processes and systems.
* Maintain accurate and organized revenue accounting records and documentation.

Job Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* 2+ years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably within a technology or software company.
* Strong understanding of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers).
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
* Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
* Experience with a global company or shared service center environment is a plus.
