Asturias Capital LLC (Asturias) is an investment manager, and separate business unit within AB, investing primarily in the global Technology, Media, and Telecommunications sectors. The fund seeks superior risk-adjusted returns while minimizing correlation to the overall market.

Job Description

Asturias is currently looking to hire a Financial and Data Analyst. As a Financial and Data Analyst, you will:

• Gain insight to the dynamics of working on an equity focused, long/short hedge-fund
• Acquire expertise working with a team of Research Analysts who are seasoned TMT experts and responsible for autonomously managing an independent fund on behalf of AB
• Learn a process driven model for fundamental, in-depth analysis of companies and industries
• Perform diligent & deep dive fundamental research on a universe of investments, financial statements and associated data
• Update individual models & research notes on a regular basis in keeping with the investment and compliance process requirements
• Conduct yourself with the highest levels of professionalism and integrity

Job Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record
• 3-6 years’ experience within Accounting, Investment Banking, Hedge Fund, Private Equity or IT Consulting
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent broad-based analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail and intellectual maturity
• Relentless intellectual curiosity and a drive to excel at the highest level
• Genuine desire to be a team player and work in a highly rigorous and collegial environment
