Position Summary

***This position follows a hybrid working schedule of three days onsite and two days remote per week in Scottsdale, AZ, Woonsocket, RI, Hartford, CT or Northbrook, IL***

As leader of the Compliance Regulatory Reporting team, the Lead Director of Corporate Compliance manages a team of compliance professionals in the fulfillment of state mandated reports. The Lead Director develops strategic plans and collaborates with the Business Compliance Office (BCO), Market Compliance, Government Relations, and Business Operations teams to ensure we have a complete and accurate inventory of assigned regulatory reports and ensure data submissions are complete, accurate and within the required timeframes. The Lead Director communicates and negotiates with regulators on due dates and extensions as needed. The Lead Director also collaborates with Business Operations, Compliance Program Modernization and others as needed to streamline the regulatory reporting process and ensure regulatory reports are submitted in the most efficient and effective manner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develops strategic plans for assigned regulatory reports.
  • Maintains a complete and accurate inventory of assigned regulatory reports.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to document and analyze reporting requirements, determine applicability, and develop procedures to submit the required data to regulators.
  • Analyzes volume and complexity of the assigned reports to ensure appropriate allocation of resources and timely submissions of the required monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual filings.
  • Oversees an attestation process to ensure data submissions are complete and accurate.
  • Produces regular management reporting to communicate status of assigned regulatory reports.
  • Communicates and negotiates with regulators on due dates and extensions as needed.
  • Develops and participates in presentation and consultation to regulators, senior leaders, and business partners on reporting requirements and processes, capabilities and performance results.
  • Adopts the Lean Six Sigma approach and continuously streamlines the regulatory reporting process.
  • Leads a team of compliance professionals including talent assessment, skill development and career pathing.


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of healthcare compliance experience
  • 5+ years of experience in regulatory reporting
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel up to 5%



Preferred Qualifications

  • Work well in a dynamic, complex, and team-focused environment with minimal oversight
  • Extensive experience advising, coaching, influencing, and building relationships
  • Project management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Archer, QuickBase, SharePoint, Visio
  • Compliance or healthcare related credentials
  • Advanced degrees

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
