Contribute to the development of new HBM products by assisting with the overall design, layout. Engage with architecture team and customers on new HBM specification development. Design circuits to meet product specification, functionality and customer requirements. Design and develop schematic blocks, including memory array, input buffer, output buffer, control logic, address decode, datapath, and internal test logic, test interfaces (IEEE1500, Direct Access, and JTAG). Participate in new circuit conception and design as needed. Perform circuit simulations using standard industry simulators such as FINESIM, HSPICE and VERILOG. Responsible for reliability verification. Assist in design validation, reticle experiments and required tape-out revisions. Contribute expert technical knowledge to advance innovative technical solutions. Provide advice and counsel to senior management on significant technical topics. Oversee and manage the layout process. Lead floor-planning process, including placement and routing optimization. Optimize design rules for cost, performance and functionality. Import layout parasitic information into circuit simulation environment. Maintain Technical Expertise and Provide Training. Contribute to cross group communication to work towards standardization and group success. Aid in design documentation and communicating best known practices to entire department. Participate in continuing education and competitor analysis. Proactively solicit feedback from Standards, CAD, modeling, and verification groups to ensure the design quality. Drive innovation into the future Memory generations within a dynamic work environment.

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field, followed by five years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Principal Design Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires:

1. CMOS circuit design and device physics;

2. Analog and digital design;

3. Power network analysis;

4. Scripting languages, including Python, Tcl, Perl, and shell;

5. Circuit verification and layout verification;

6. Silicon validation of circuits.
